Last Church Craft Until Fall

Here is the last church craft I made for this session of Kids Quest. It was pretty easy to do. It's a wheel that you can turn, reminding you that you can pray anytime:

I really enjoy preparing the crafts for the children's ministry each week; even more so now that my daughter is involved in the class. It makes me feel like I'm helping out, even if it seems like a small contribution, I know that any help that teachers can get to be more prepared is a big deal. In my small way I am helping impact the next generation.

I also spent some time this week reviewing some ideas for art projects I'd like to work on. I picked out a few and hope to start posting my progress soon.

More church crafts

Two more recent church craft projects:
Moses, in a nutshell.

The Red Sea, parted. The yellow part with the shells is the dry sandy riverbed; the wave with the fish in it is the Red Sea parted.

Church crafts part 3

I'll probably post a few more of the church crafts I'm working on, and then that will be it. I'm making the same crafts that I made last year for the most part, but some of them I didn't post last year. Here are this week's crafts:

More Church Crafts!

Here are a couple of the ones from this week:

Octopus

Jesus walking on water

I had one more that I did but I didn't finish it in time to take a picture of it. It was a baby Jesus in a manger, made with straw and popsicle sticks. I guess they are starting the Christmas story early this year.

Crafty...

Recently I became the Craft Coordinator for the Children’s Ministry at my church. Basically this means that I prepare the craft supplies for the teachers to use each week, and create a sample of the craft for the teacher to use as a guide. All the crafts are from the Kid’s Quest program. I didn’t make them up; I just followed the directions on how to make them. Here are a few of the crafts I have been working on:

The raven

The pig

Daily Bread

Bean name
